This guide takes you from a new account to your first quotation in Zaptiz Electrical, the ERP for electrical panel manufacturers. Plan for an hour or so, most of which is loading your own customers and products. You do not need a card to start.

Step 1: create your account
- Go to Get started and choose Zaptiz Electrical.
- Enter your name, work email and a password.
- Check your inbox for a verification code and enter it. This confirms the email address belongs to you.
If your company already uses Google or Zoho, you can sign in to an existing Zaptiz account with either once it has been created.
Step 2: complete the onboarding wizard
After verification, a guided wizard sets up your company. It asks a short series of questions, one per screen, and saves your progress as you go, so you can leave and come back where you stopped.
Along the way you can:
- Enter your company details and GSTIN, and tell Zaptiz about your industry and team size.
- Choose a plan, or continue on the trial.
- Switch on the modules you want to start with. You can turn others on later.
- Set up how your customers will pay you.
- Invite colleagues by email. Optional steps can be skipped and done later.
Tip: if you are rolling out in phases, start with CRM, estimation and quotations. Purchase, production and finance can follow once the team is comfortable.
Step 3: set up roles and invite your team
Zaptiz Electrical has six job roles: Owner or Company Admin, Sales Executive, Purchase Manager, Production Engineer, Accountant and Viewer. Each person sees and does only what their role allows.
- Invite each colleague by email and assign their role.
- They receive an invitation, set a password and verify their email.
- Keep the trial’s five-user limit in mind; invite the people who will test the core flow first.
Turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app for admin accounts. See the security page for what else is in place.
Step 4: load your customers and products
Good data makes everything else faster.
Customers
Import customers from a CSV file. Zaptiz helps merge duplicates during import. Each customer can hold sites, GSTIN and contacts. Check GSTINs and states carefully, because they decide whether a quotation carries CGST and SGST or IGST.
Products and supplier price lists
Import supplier price lists from PDF, Excel or a photo. The AI reads the list and the items go into your catalogue after you review them. Prices can later be bulk-edited with a dry-run preview before anything changes.
Step 5: brand your documents
Open the Template Center and set up a branded quotation template for your company. Templates cover 12 document types and keep version history, so you can return to an earlier design if needed.
Step 6: create your first lead
- Add a lead on the pipeline board for a real or sample enquiry.
- Link it to a customer.
- Attach the enquiry drawing or note, and add a follow-up task with a date.
Everything you create for this enquiry, such as BOMs and quotations, will be filed against the lead.
Step 7: build a BOM
For your first quotation, use the BOM Generator:
- Pick a panel template, for example a DB, MCC, APFC, VFD or AMF panel.
- Choose a brand tier.
- Adjust components and quantities.
- Add charges such as enclosure and labour, and set your margin.
If you have a drawing or a photo, you can instead let AI draft the BOM. That route is covered in Drawing or photo to BOM to quotation.
Step 8: create and send the quotation
- Create a quotation from the BOM.
- Review per-line GST and any discounts.
- If any line has no price, the missing-price guard warns you before printing or sending. Fix those lines first.
- Choose a print layout, then print, email or send by WhatsApp.
When the customer accepts, convert the quotation into a sales order. From there, shortages can raise requisitions, which is covered in Purchase to stock in Zaptiz Electrical.
